Day 1: KUL/BAKU

Assemble at KLIA 3 hours before departure to GYD (Transit SIN-FRA)

Day 2: ARRIVAL BAKU

Arrive Baku and meeting at the airport. Information about city and country on the way to the hotel by the professional guide. Check-in at hotel.

Day 3:BAKU CITY TOUR (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting at hotel lobby and you will be met by our guide and drive to begin city tour. Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan. Start your walk in Icheri Sheher – the old part of the city. Visit Maiden Tower, Shirvan Shahs’ Palace, Caravanserai, and market square with numerous art studios and souvenir stalls. Continue to the Memory Alley Shehidler Khiyabany that opens up a great panoramic view of Baku city. Further, you will explore 19-20th centuries architecture: Nizami Street, Fountain Square, Freedom Square. Stop for lunch. (own cost). After lunch, drive to Surakhani village. The spread of Zoroastrianism in the territory of the modern Azerbaijan was due to spontaneously flammable sources of oil and gas. Therefore, in this area such a monument as the temple Ateshgah has survived. Next, excursion to Ateshgah. Fire Temple Ateshgah (literally Fire House) is located in 30 kilometers from the center of Baku, in the south-eastern outskirts of the Absheron Peninsula. Excursion to Yanardag. Next to this small village in the Absheron peninsula Mount Yanardagh is situated. The word “Yanar” in Azeri language means “burning”, and “Dagh” – “mountain”. And this is real a burning mountain – not metaphorically, but literally. Once in Absheron it had been a lot of places where natural gas coming out from the earth to the surface ignited spontaneously, but with the start of mass extraction of oil and gas in Absheron these places started to disappear. Stop for dinner and transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 4: GOBUSTAN-MUD VOLCANOES-BAKU CITY TOUR (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Lanscape. Gobustan one of the most ancient human settlements in the world. Primitive people depicted the art on stones thousands years ago. Gobustan is very rich in archaeological monuments. The reserve has more than 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000 – 40,000 years. The site also features the remains of inhabited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive human use by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. Next, visting Mud Volcanoes. According to the number of mud volcanoes Azerbaijan takes first place in the world. Approximately 350 of 800 existing mud volcanoes are found in Azerbaijan. Most of them are concentrated in Gobustan Region. (it depend on the weather, because in rainy weather, cars cannot go to the volcano). Stop for lunch (own cost). Starting to sightseeing tour. You will be met by our guide and driver at your hotel to begin city tour in Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan. City tour begins with a visit to the Upland Park. Upland Park is located on a hill in the western part of the city. This is the best place to see the city and the Baku Bay. The architecture of the capital is very eclectic; it is a combination of different styles and influences such as barocco, classicism and modern architecture, both Eastern and Western. Visiting Heydar Aliyev center designed by Zaha Hadid. Stop for dinner and return to the hotel.

Day 5: GABALA CITY TOUR (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting at the hotel lobby and transfer to Gabala. On the way to Gabala visiting Ismayilli, Lahij. Lahij is the historical place in Azerbaijan. Lahij is a notable place in Azerbaijan, with its authentic handicrafts traditions, particularly related to copper. The village’s carpet and rug crafts are also well known in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus. Lahij has an old sewage system (some experts claim that it was built 1000 – 1500 years ago). Due to frequent earthquakes local people have developed sophisticated and authentic construction techniques. Stop for lunch in Lahij (own cost). Transfer to hotel in Gabala. Check in and accommodation in the hotel in Gabala. Gabala, the former capital of Caucasian Albania, the archaeological site of which is about 20 km southwest. Gabala is considered a popular tourist destination due to the combination of a very good spring climate, woods along the mountains and excellent fauna was exploited by the construction of large numbers of hotels and apartments in city. Many sizable world hotel chains have a presence in the city. Visiting “Gabaland” amusement park, an ice skating rink and a Greekstyle theatre, built especially for outside concerts. Gabala has several shopping malls; the most famous city center mall is Gabala Mall. Stop for dinner Return to the hotel for overnight

Day 6: GABALA CITY TOUR (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting at the hotel lobby. Sightseeing tour in Gabala. The territory, like all the northern lands of Azerbaijan, was part of the Albanian state citation needed] in the 4th century B.C. Mehran Gyrdyman from the dynasty of Sasanies even created his
own kingdom at the territory. Visiting Udin template. Tour to Tufandag Mountain & Ski Resort. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Gabala.

Day 7: GABALA –SHEKI (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting at the hotel lobby and transfer to Sheki. Arrive Sheki and Check in hotel in Sheki. Starting to sightseeing tour. Sheki tours will introduce you a city located in the picturesque mountains and considered one of the most ancient in the entire Caucasus. Visit to the local medieval fortress, Caravanserais. Next, visit the Sheki Khans’ palace, local museum of history, local handicrafts workshop, panoramic view of the town, mosque-madrassah. Lunch in the ancient Caravanserai (own cost). Excursion to the Kish village. In the village of Kish live Udi people ancient Caucasian person. This people have different kind of tradition. Also in this village located the first Christian church in the Caucasus, which was built in the time of the Albanian Empire ( I Century AD). In the village of Kish also located an ancient defensive fortress “Gelersen – Gorersen”, which translated means “You will come and see.” Also, there is a bust of the world famous traveler Thor Heyerdahl. Stop for dinner and return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 8: SHEKI/BAKU (B/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer back Baku and check in hotel. Free time in the evening. Night city tour, dinner and transfer back to hotel.

Day 9: BAKU/KUL (B)

Transfer to airport for early morning flight to KUL (Transit FRA-SIN).
End tour.
